Thematic Instruction
Our curriculum is built around weekly themes, blending creative play with educational enrichment. Activities include art, music, science, imaginative play, fine and gross motor skills, early math and reading, and plenty of celebration! We believe in play-based learning — one that encourages active involvement and, of course, FUN!
Each class of 8-11 students has a specialized curriculum based on age, developmental level, and need. Our teachers are adaptable and flexible, recognizing that every year brings a different set of little personalities. We incorporate the Learning Without Tears curriculum to build the foundational skills necessary for academic success.
Emotional Intelligence
When children can recognize and manage their emotions, they become better problem solvers, build stronger relationships, and are better prepared for learning. Emotional skills like empathy, self-awareness, and self-regulation are foundational for perseverance and resilience — qualities essential to staying engaged in learning. Displaying these skills early in life is a strong predictor of future academic success and well-being.

We are a preschool, not a daycare, as children are here 4 hours a day. We've created multiple class schedules for different age groups, ranging from our 2 1/2 year olds to Pre-K. This enables us to create a more effective learning environment for children of all ages and abilities.

FAQ's
Do you provide before and after school care?
We do not, our operating hours are 9:30-1:30. Yet, we understand that on occasion life happens! If you are ever unable to pick up your child right at 1:30 we ask that you let us know by calling the office or texting your child's teacher as soon as possible.
Are you open year-round?
We generally follow the Seattle Public School calendar - starting a week later in mid-September and ending a week earlier in mid-June. We follow the same winter break, and spring break, along with all federal holidays. Although, we do not take a full week of mid-winter break in February.
Do you provide snack or lunch?
We DO provide a daily healthy snack, yet we do NOT provide lunch. Students bring their own lunch and water bottles.
Are you a nut-free school?
Every year we fully assess every child's allergies/dietary restrictions and we will plan from there. Some years there are no allergies, other years there are many. Your child's safety is a top priority!
What does being a Christian preschool look like?
We sing daily prayer songs before meals, incorporate a children's Bible, and celebrate Christian holidays such as Christmas and Easter. We instill love and acceptance of all, and being kind and giving.
